Muhamad Rasul was born in Jakarta on 29 December 1976. After obtaining his degree in management from a university in Jakarta, Rasul worked in marketing but later decided to jump ship to journalism. As a journalist, he covered economic and finance stories and has written in both Indonesian and English. Working as a journalist made him realize how crucial it was for business leaders to stay abreast of the latest developments in their industry. This led to the founding of a media monitoring company, which is co-founded with Vidya Dahlan, a journalist who has worked in various media companies, including newspapers, magazines and television.
